Congratulations Riley Nichols and Ishiska Sooraj, winners of the “Create a Library Card Bookmark Contest.”

September was “Get a Library Card Month” and as part of the festivities, the Collierville Burch Library encouraged Collierville Schools students to create a bookmark that illustrated “Why I Love Libraries.”

Out of the 228 entries, two overall winners were chosen. The winner from the 5-8-year-old age group was Ishika Sooraj from Bailey Station Elementary. Riley Nichols from Crosswind Elementary won the 9-12-year-old age group.

The two winners each received a gift card, had a new library book added to the Collierville Library collection in their honor, and their bookmarks are available for patrons at the library.
