Last week, Mayor Stan Joyner made a special proclamation for the town’s resident steam locomotive, the Frisco 1351. “Frisco 1351 Day” marked the completion of the Town’s journey in acquiring and restoring the circa 1912 steam engine. The Frisco had been parked on the tracks in Collierville’s Historic Town Square for 24 years when a committee made up of residents and Town representatives began taking steps to make the Frisco look its best and become an official part of the Collierville experience.
